Arson Suspect Nabbed For Intentionally Lighting Fire In VA: Fire Marshal

On Wednesday, August 10, Loudoun County officials announced the arrest of a man who intentionally started a house fire, authorities said.

At around 8 a.m. on May 14, multiple local fire crews reported to a house fire in 25000 block of Purebred Court and extinguished the flames on house's back deck, according to the Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office.

The cost of damages was estimated at around $45,000, officials reported.

After further investigation, law enforcement arrested Christopher Hope on charges pertaining to intentionally setting a house fire, the fire marshal's office said.

Hope was released on bond from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, officials said.
